Tasting - "Heinz Eifel Shine Riesling"

Name: Heinz Eifel Shine Riesling
Variety: Riesling
Region: N/A
Country: Germany
Year: 2012
Price: $9.95

Winery Review: "This drier-styled Riesling is bright,
fruity and floral with crisp acidity and
clean flavors of apple, pear and peach
that compliment its stony minerality
and earthy complexity. It serves well as
an aperitif and matches a wide variety
of foods, like lighter salad dishes,
shellfish, cream sauces and also
anything with a touch of spice."- The Vintage Cellar

My Review: Very floral and subtle fruits on the nose, that of peaches or pears.  It reminded me of Korean pears, which are a lot less sweet than a normal pear.  The taste was very sweet, with solid peach and pear flavors, even little hints of fuji apples.  It was balanced, with little bits of earthiness to it.  Solid bottle of wine, not crazy about it, but worth trying again.

Tasting - "Atlas Cumbres Cabernet Sauvignon"

Name: Atlas Cumbres Cabernet Sauvignon
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: N/A
Country: Argentina
Year: 2010
Price: $15 (sale" $6.95)

Winery Review: "Intense red color with violet highlights,
with clean, fresh and complex aromas
of berries, plums, figs and pepper.
Strong personality is in perfect balance
with a medium body and pleasant
tannins. Ideal for: red meats, cheeses
and strong sauces."- The Vintage Cellar

My Review: Dark fruits, cherries, and cranberries on the nose, not overpowering at all, very nicely balanced aroma.  The taste was that of dark fruits, berries, cherries, and plumbs, with a little hint of dairy or cheese on the finish.  It also had a nice woody aspect to it, not overly oaky, but just nice hints.  This wine was a very well-balanced and nice-tasting wine.  I would buy again.

Tasting - "Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau"

Name: Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau
Variety: Gamay
Region: N/A
Country: France
Year: 2013
Price: $14 (sale: $3.95)

Winery Review: "Balanced and lightly creamy, offering
pretty flavors of plum sauce and
raspberry coulis threaded with hints of
ground spice. Elegant, with a floral
finish. Drink now."- The Vintage Cellar

My Review: Very strong aroma on the nose, dark fruits and cherries screamed out at you from the beginning.  The taste had a little bit of creaminess to it, with a little bit of spice and herbs.  It was a very dry wine, a little too dry for my preferences, but not bad.  Overall, this is a very strong wine, but still not bad.  I wouldn't buy a bottle myself, but wouldn't mind trying again.

Tasting - "Bricco dei Tati Rose"

Name: Bricco dei Tati Rose
Variety: Barbera
Region: N/A
Country: Italy
Year: 2013
Price: $7.95

Winery Review: "Fresh with aromas of strawberries,
cherries and rose petals. This is ideal
with shellfish, salads, chicken, and with
appetizers."- The Vintage Cellar

My Review: On the nose this wine had a very subtle fruit flavor, but for the most part a very mellow wine.  I got little bits of strawberries and cream, sort of reminded me of those old strawberry shortcake ice cream bars, which was nice.  The taste was sort of citrusy, with a balanced finish, that was sort of floral.  Overall, this is not a great wine but also not horrible.

Tasting - "Frascati Volpetti"

Name: Frascati VolpettiVariety: Malvasia, Trebbiano, Greco

Winery Review: "
Straw yellow in color with a soft,
delicate perfume, fruitful flavor, dry
and harmonious taste. Perfect with
appetizers, soups, fish."- The Vintage Cellar

My Review: On the nose, this wine was very floral with a nice fruity aspect to it.  It wasn't overpowering, yet had that nice aroma.  The taste was very tart, with a sourness that reminded me of like a warhead candy.  It wasn't overly sour though, and also had good hints of fruit and good flavors.  Solid wine overall.

Tasting - "Toso Moscato"

Name: Toso Moscato
Variety: Moscato

Country: Italy
Year: N/A
Price: $9.95

Winery Review: "
This Moscato is reminiscent of honeysuckle and rose petal. The quality is equivalent to a top level Asti Spumante DOCG. Sweet sparkling wine obtained from a careful selection of the Moscato grapes. It has a pale straw yellow color with fine foam an bubbles. Tropical fruit flavors, refreshing. Excellent to match desserts, fruit and dried pastries."
- The Vintage Cellar

My Review: This wine was delicious! with a sweet, candy-like flavor, it reminded me of being inside a candy store as a kid and just walking around looking at all the different types in the store.  The taste was very sweet, with hints of honey dew and watermelon.  There were flavors that reminded me of eating skittles, the different assortments, and just really finished out nicely with an abundance of strong fruitiness.  Not overly sweet, but just right.  Solid bottle of Moscato, and definitely recommend to friends.

Tasting - El Sierro Tempranillo/Cab"

Name: El Sierro Tempranillo/Cab
Variety: Tempranillo/Cab

Country: Spain
Year: 2011
Price: $7.95

Winery Review: "
Dark ruby in color with rich aromas of red fruit and light spices. It is a real knock-out with delicious flavors of dark cherries, blackberries and vanilla all perfectly integrated. The Tempranillo provides wonderful spice and fruit, while the Cabernet Sauvignon gives structure and depth with the beautiful use of oak."
- The Vintage Cellar

My Review: nice fruity aroma, with dark fruit flavors; dark cherries, blackberries, etc.  The taste, however, was brighter, with a lot of sour flavors coming out, lemon, apple, and even a hint of spices.  The texture was dry, very interesting, and changed up the flavor profile on the finish.  Overall, not a bad wine.
